Why I Started this Movement of Great Autism Recovery

If you have read my earlier articles on Confessions of a Selfish Mother and Why I took medicine in my hands, then you will know my story of how I went to countless doctors for help and no one was there to help me and guide me.

My determination to find a treatment for Autism made me pursue the whole medical side of it. I started researching and experimenting different diets, supplements in the safest amount of dosage and therapies. Studied and studied. My husband was against it initially but I convinced him saying, “Give me a few months and lets religiously try whatever I believe upon. Anyway what was to lose in just trying a diet?” Whenever I added or subtracted into the existing treatment we would notice something new in our child. Miracles after miracles started happening, seizures started going down, eye contact back in 10 days, started pointing towards things, started sleeping well, reduced stim, words started to come, was interested in playing with flashcards. After seeing the results my husband never questioned me and was always on board with me.

I am being honest to the core of my soul; it is not an easy task. I did it with great amount of dedication. Every time there was a low I would ask myself, how badly you want your child to grow out of this situation? How desperately you want your child to enjoy life the way it should be done? And how desperately you want your baby out of the physical pain that is going on due to damaged gut? These sentiments would keep pushing me towards my goals.

I know for a fact, many people do not know that Autism could be reversed like I didn’t know. The mainstream doctors told me that there wasn’t anything I could do about the situation and I believed it for a while. But somewhere my instincts pushed me and did not let me bend down in front of the situation. This movement of ‘Great Autism Recovery’ is for people like me who are strong and determined to take this task of Autism Recovery. It is for those people who want to help and do not have the access to the resources of information, treatments, from where to start and to find the right kind of doctors that could help them.

So we started volunteering with the families in need of help and guidance. I am a mother who has gone through the pain . I have tried and tested methods that deliver desired results.

We are not showing our face in public. We will ‘only’ show our face if our child wants us to. Currently, our kid is not ready to face the world with the issues we have dealt with. We respect our kid’s decision. Whenever, the time comes and our child will be ready to face the world, we will be in full support. At the same time, as parents we have discovered a lot of combination of therapies working along with a MAPs doctor for our child. We want to help parents figure out the things that worked for us might work for their child too.

Many times parents aren’t aware of therapies and treatments that could help their child and there is no ‘one’ place where you can find complete resources. We are not doctors, but we are well informed parents who want to help other families in similar situation. We did not have any guidance when we first discovered Autism and it was terrible for us to find answers to everything, so ‘Great Autism Recovery’ is our effort to help those families and guide them who are looking for help. We are based in the United States of America. We respect your concerns, and if you respect our privacy then we can move along together.

Spread this message by sharing it as much as possible to help. Tag a friend, someone you know or a family member who is looking for answers. Let’s give some hope and positivity to parents and people who really need it at this point of time. Follow us and stay updated. I will be providing a step-by-step guide to complete recovery from ASD or at least getting very close to recovery in my subsequent write-ups.

If you want more information, guidance, treatment options and counseling, we provide services for the same. It is designed to suit every family or person in trouble with ASD. You can email and get in touch with us for more services.
